www.BritishBusinessSpain.com was born out of a very simple need - to find British Businesses in Spain.  We moved to Spain in the first half of 2009, and like most people didn't speak the language (although we picked up "cafe con leche" pretty quickly!). 

Not knowing many people when we arrived, we expected to be able to use the internet to find local British Businesses such as hair dressers, vets, kennels/catteries, pubs, builders etc.  To our surprise we found very, very few of them - and to our utter amazement could not find an up-to-date, easy-to-use business directory for British Businesses in Spain.  Sensing an opportunity we decided to start one ourselves.

We soft-launched in August of 2009 with a highly-targeted ad campaign to promote the site to both businesses and people looking for business services.  There is a very good chance you're reading this article because of this campaign.
